I truly believe my knowledge of research has grown exponentially throughout the semester. I felt a little behind when class first started and I did not do well on the first quiz but I think the big workload in class also helped grade-wise. I think my knowledge of statistics helped throughout the semester as well as my experience working in the Social Services field. Where my biggest growth came, was in my gathering of solid research. I learned that I need to summarize themes more when presenting research rather than just providing data. I think the data presentation stems from my current job as a data analyst at a Residential Treatment Facility. I was hoping to gain a more grounded approach in presenting data and research in this class and I feel that goal was achieved. I really feel that in my past blogs my analogies of this course being a marathon not a sprint as well as the stairs reference were accurate. I’m very pleased with how this course shaped me to gain a better understanding of research and how to operationalize as a future Social Worker.
